When we were looking for a place to get married, we explored several venues throughout Maine; most didn’t meet our budget or were too formal. Then we realized that we were looking past our own backyard. All the pieces fell into place after that and we had a lovely wedding in a lovely place.

We’d like to share our home with you. If you need a place to gather for a family reunion, a vacation retreat, or small wedding, Soulhaven may be what you need.

Our Facilities

Soulhaven is for you if you:

•  just want a multi-room Maine farmhouse with a very large yard to have a family reunion or special gathering.
• need it for 2 – 14 days.
• are tolerant of some of the home improvement projects that are underway.
• don’t mind the rustic appearance of some areas of our house.
• want an authentic rural Maine experience unlike the commercial vibe of other venues.

Location

We are located off the beaten path in the rural village of Bowdoinham. Our home, affectionately named “Soulhaven,” is nestled among woods, meadows, and the Abagadasette River.
